New BlendTec J2 Container / CarafeThe BlendTec comes with one FourSide Lexan Jar container, called the J2 Carafe. It can hold nearly 64 ounces.
Extra BlendTec FourSide J2 jars are available. These jars are virtually indestructible and can withstand even the hardest objects. The jar comes with a seven year warranty, although it should last a lifetime.
On May 1, 2009, BlendTec made a change to the plastic material used in the J2, 2 quart blending jars.

BlendTec FourSide Blender vs. BlendTec Total Blender:The FourSide is essentially the exact same machine as the Total Blender.
The "Total Blender" is only available at Costco stores. The BlendTec FourSide is available in stores.
The only difference is that this FourSide blender has more blending cycle options. The FourSide touch pad has more pre-set blending programs you can enter via the LCD control panel.
The Total blender has 9 cycles pre programmed into the blender on the touch pad, this FourSide blender has 25.
BlendTec HP3A Blender vs. Vitamix TurboBlend Blender.The best blender companies are BlendTec and Vitamix. They are both high quality and you will love either one.
The main difference is that the BlendTec has computer controls. You simply press one button and the blender automatically starts, slowly speeds up, pulses, then gets real fast for the last few seconds, and automatically shuts off. You could push the button and walk into the next room while it blends.
The VitaMix is a manual blender. It comes with a tamper stick that you use to stir the food and help it blend. You manually control the speed, time of blending, and turn it off.
The BlendTec container is short and wide, and it does a better job with dry ingredients. For example, you can put almonds into the BlendTec and it will grind them into a powder or almond butter.
The BlendTec FourSide is a 3 horsepower motor, while the home Vitamix is a 2 horsepower motor.
