Improved Ultem Strainer!! The Ultem Strainer is 8 times harder than the old version. The ultem strainer replaces both the fine and coarse hole strainers that were included with the older models. Only 1 strainer is needed and included with these new models.

Improved Ultem Condensing Screw / Auger! This is a new and more durable auger, GE's ULTEM material results in an auger that is 8 times stronger than others.
* Hurom has changed their juice collecting container to a more traditional handle design versus the previous integrated handle, and it will hold just over 40 ounces of juice.
* Improved instructions and an instructional /informational DVD included.
* Model Upgrade - These are the 4th generation 2012 Hurom juicers. They have an improvement to the bowl that increased the pulp ejection outlet size to allow for better ejection and prevent backing up from occurring.

This improvement as we've seen it does in fact reduce down the pulp we've seen pass into the juice side when users are aggressively juicing and pushing too much too fast into the feed chute.
Remember, these are slow juicers, so if there is pulp coming out the juice side, the user should slow down; there is no reason why simple gravity feeding shouldn't be enough on these uprights.
* Warranty Change - With the move to this next generation,
Hurom has changed its warranty to 10 years on the motor and 1 year on parts. So juicers sold from here forward will come with this warranty only.

Opened box -- read operating instructions and proceeded making my first and inaugural juice which I dubbed Jeff's Super Green Monster consisting of: collard greens, broccoli, Italian parsley, watercress, string beans, green pepper, lime, garlic, ginger, rosemary, sprouts (alfalfa, radish, onion and fennel) and granny smith apple. I received my Hurom Juicer today. I've already made a couple batches of juice tonight, and I have to say, the juicer is AMAZING. It's ridiculously quiet, the pulp is dry, cleaning was fast and easy. I absolutely couldn't be happier with the juicer. WHEW! I really think I made the right choice!
From watching EVERY video on YouTube about the Hurom juicer, I really thought it was too good to be true. But after using it, I can honestly say it's even better than I thought it would be.

Hurom Juicing Tips...This is SLOW juicer and has different operating instructions than typical high speed juicers. Make sure to read the instruction manual carefully and follow these simple steps below.
For Best Results:
* Cut food items into pieces no larger than 2 inches for optimal extraction.
* Do not input frozen fruit or ice.
* Drop food into feeding tube.
Do not push or force down! The pusher provided is only to use if food becomes stuck. Gravity will pull the produce into the juicer and no effort is required on your part.
* Insert food at a slow pace, allowing all the pulp to extract. For maximum efficiency, do not overcrowd or rush.
