ISBN 1440529000 Amazon Reviews: - Great and tasty! Wide range of recipes. 5 Stars. I really enjoy the recipes in this book. The author explains all the procedures well and even teaches you how to sprout your own seeds. I'm normally just vegan, but the raw vegan foods are the ones that really make me feel best. I would recommend this to anyone looking to super-charge their vegan diet. ~ rainbowgang2008 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* A must have for the Raw Vegan Kitchen! 5 Stars I adapt alot of my recipes from Rawesomely Vegan written by Mike Snyder, his recipes followed to the word turn out amazing, this guy really knows his flavors, but depending what I already have in the pantry they adapt pretty well too. I couldn't recommend another raw-vegan book over this one- it really takes the cake. I had a quick look at the reviews on amazon, and I am really surprised by some of the negative commentary here. I am not sure where that all is coming from, but it appears to me to be far from correct. Very strange. The foods suggested in the recipes are very easy to find, even here in Australia, also there are endless suppliers of all sorts of products online now. So really, I would not see how anyone would have a problem sourcing the ingredients suggested. Additionally, his recipes are very, very easy to follow, he truly takes the complication out of the more challenging raw food preparations, with minimal precise instructions. I wholeheartedly believe this recipe index is a necessity for any raw food kitchen, alongside other leading raw-vegan specialists. Mike should really be proud of that! ~ Deb ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* So good! 5 Stars The recipes are delicious, the pictures are beautiful, I love the fermented seed "cheeses" and this book is exactly what I wanted. I would love if there were more pictures scattered thru out the book instead of just in the middle, but the recipes are just to die for. ~ Tiffany ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Terrific! 5 Stars This book is full of practical tips and suggestions that make the transition to a raw vegan lifestyle a breeze. From stocking your kitchen to making wise appliance and utensil purchases, it's all there. There are even great tips on how to store certain foods for maximum freshness. And so far, I have not found a recipe that I didn't love. My only two critiques are that 1.) Some of the recipes get a little complicated, requiring the use of another previously made recipe, and 2.) I have found that many of the recipes fall short on carbs and whole grains. These, however are not enough in my opinion to justify a lower rating. Great purchase! ~ Eric ~*~*~*~*~*~* Love This! 4 Stars While I'm not even vegetarian, I really like expanding my "edible library". I like having several versions of a recipe to try. The book is concise, well laid out and easy to understand. I love how the author lets you know that you don't need fancy equipment to do every day things like juicing. ~ Claudia ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Took some time to warm up but now LOVE IT. 4 Stars I purchased this book last year. I knew I wasn't ready for it at that time, but was going in that direction. I found it intimidating at first, particularly because of the multiple steps needed to make some of the recipes. I've made many of the juices, which are lovely. I've made the Tasty Toast which was a long process but totally worth it. Soaking nuts is new for me, as is working with Irish Moss. I enjoyed the adventure. I've made many of the salads and the Magical Mushroom Pate is a favorite now. One slightly annoying part of the book, and the reason it didn't get 5 stars, is that to make one recipe, you are often having to find other recipes in different sections of the book. For example, to make Tasty Toast, I had to make Irish Moss Paste. I'm sent to Chapter 14. I would have liked at the very least a page number. ~ C.Mills ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Rawesome! 5 Stars. I'm vegan and prefer raw foods. This book has made my daily meals a lot more interesting and tasty! Recipes are creative and generally very easy to prepare. Highly recommended. ~ RDP1976 ~*~*~*~*~*~ About the Author: Mike Snyder is the president of TheRawDiet.com and an expert on vegetarian and vegan raw foods nutrition.
