Question: Is it ok to cook a small amount of rice in the Sakura cooker? Yes. There isn’t any problem cooking one or two cups of rice in a bigger capacity rice cooker, we made sure that Sakura can do this successfully – one cup of rice comes out as perfectly as when you cook the full 8 cup capacity of rice.

Really happy with this rice cooker. My main reason for buying it was the bowl is ceramic coated rather than lined with a non-stick coating. The rice does not stick at all and the bowl is super easy to clean. I have a 2 person household so mostly do the 1 or 2 cup rice cooking options, which have both worked out great! The cooker is not very heavy and has a handle so it is easy to move anywhere you need it, which works great for me since I do not have a dedicated counter space for it, I just move it to my table when I need to use it. I definitely recommend this cooker!
